Jahrestagung 2011

Ethics

We are happy to invite you for the 2011 annual conference of the German Association for Social Science Research on Japan (VSJF) on „Ethics“.

There will be three comparative and interdisciplinary sessions:
Firstly, some fundamentals of ethics and the reasons for the growing interest in this topic will be in the focus. Secondly, current events in the area of politics, business and society shall be discussed with a view to the ethical perspective of these topics. As the final part, we aim to take a closer look at ethics in science and will hold a panel about ethics in modern robotics.

Except for the working groups on November 25th the language of the conference will be English.

The conference will take place at the Heinrich Pesch Haus in Ludwigshafen/Germany from November 25th to 27th.
In the evening of the 25th we will have dinner at the „Dürkheimer Fass“, the biggest barrel in the world, a well-known restaurant at the famous wine growing area “Pfalz” near Ludwigshafen. For further information, please refer to the attached tentative program of the conference. You will also find a registration form for participants which we ask you to return no later than November 14th.

If you have any further questions regarding the conference or the accommodation please do not hesitate to contact either myself or Dr. Friederike Bosse at the Japanese-German Center Berlin.

We are very much looking forward to your participation!

Sincerely

Friederike Bosse and Frank Rövekamp
